A touching initiative
Since the beginning of 2021, Beurling Academy's Grade 7 students have been working to solve an urgent problem concerning homeless people's health.
The students developed a slogan and logo and then printed it on mugs to sell to raise funds. As part of their learning challenge, these mugs are sold for $10/each. These mugs raised money for new socks, donated to the House at the end of July.
They surpassed their goal of 3,000 pairs of socks and were able to give us 5,500 socks and a great television for our visitors.
This action will make many people happy.
Together we are more robust, and this is a great example!
